ElfQuest Fan Art

A fun work in progress.  Using a green clay to make removable  bangs and locks helped to alter a baked and painted piece.  The sticky tac helps (blue) to know how much clay to mix and apply at a time.

RTH did an art-exchange with Zonnemeer Borg, a Dutch group. This is my trade-piece for it, for Esther's character Snakebow (Slangenboog).

You know, I really like the old-skool LOOK of those bell-bottom pants. But they are a pain in the ass to try to get to look right...

Whew, my wrist hurts! I need to take a break from drawing. Anyhow, I just wanted to contribute to the Zombie Quest theme! There's Maruna and Laluna, who are my characters (well, Maruna is a "what if Laluna and Marut were fused?" kind of character, so she's also Berit's character!), and Terra, who's Luna's character. I miss her so much!

I know that the elves in the ZQ world shouldn't have magic, but I wanted to draw Laluna and Terra anyway! Maruna can't do magic, so she's okay. Laluna looks like she stole some little kid's clothes!

My cousin gave me this really pretty, rough, grayish paper with white freckles. Yes, freckled paper! And I'm loving it.
I made this portrait of Zoetgras in fur. Drawn and shaded with pencils, highlights with white pencil.

I'm gonna recolor this one, because I don't really like how it turned out. I should've used some examples for this light, the background should've been darker and I don't really like the figures in the back either.
But since Zoetgras herself turned out okay, I decided to upload it here.

Character designs I made in July 2008. My girls in full length ánd in color, for when my character descriptions confuse you. ;P

I came across a picture of a teen band and figured their poses would look great on some of the new youth of our holts. Started the sketch a while back, finished it last weekend.

When I was preparing the picture in Photoshop for uploading, I suddenly had this idea in mind of presenting them as a band like the original example had done. They're a theatregroup after all! It also gives the picture a bit more depth without the characters being colored.
The linework I did with a Faber-Castell brush pen. From left to right it's Nachtzang (Tineke's), Zoetgras (mine), Spruit (Susan's) and Fladder (mine). Zilte Muzen (salty/briny muses) is the name we want to give our new website.

Another Timeless founder,Zharo.
Zharo got a rather severe hit on the head when he fled the palace that caused his mind to become rather disjointed. Leaving him rather quiet, impassive and generally very aloof for several thousands of years.
Zharo retains 3 of his old powers, shielding, gliding and rockshaping. Shielding is the weakest of the 3.
Despite his mental state, he seems to have a liking for using his rockshaping powers against humans.

Zharo, impassive High One of the Timeless, and father of Beyond and Arehe (to name a few), flying near the Cidun cliffs. (plateau?)

I gave him some new scars because the old one he had tended to look more like an eyebrow and I just couldn't draw it right.

I’m sure one of the other rockshapers of the Timeless must have been bored senseless to make that massive statue in the background…

somebody asked me some time ago, if I could upload more linearts here, for other people to color, I don't remember who asked, but I thought it would be fun... so let's start with this one, Zey, the Go-back. this was Originally colored by Czarine, but other can color this too, if they want! and don't worry you all, I shall soon upload more fanart about the cannon EQ characters as well, I just want to get all this other stuff out of the way, first...

like the title says! Czarine wanted to color these linearts of Zey I drew one night, when I had nothing to do. I think czarine did extremely beautiful job! thanks Czarine!... I drew the linearts by memory, had no reference when I was doing this, and Czarine colored this without a reference to the colors!... and I was supposed to submit this here about... two days ago? cannot recall... but I was incredibly tired so I spend the time sleeping and playing video games...

Zey, a Go-Back who was Chief during Kahvi's "jaunting".  He conspired with Chot to kill Kahvi and was killed by her when they attacked the Sun Village.  Seen first in HY #2 and NB 10-12.

I happened to draw the faces of Terra and vivian, just for practice, and they both just stared somewhere, and left them like that. guess what? Berit was a ninja artist again and finished the picture! He drew bodies for Terra and vivi and then he added Chot there too! now it seems that Terra and vivi are trying their best to ignore Chot, who is always so loud!
