Failed Bowki

I was going to paint a sun village scene, with mostly Bowki in the focus. But after doing most of my flats, I got rain on it, then when it dried, it looked stiff and ugly to me. So I discontinued.
But it is the first ElfQuest fanart in ages, so.

I can't see any rain traces, it looks fine to me.
Bowki is getting so little love and close to zero fanart, so it is really nice to see some. I love the warm tones. Yellow and violet go together very well, imho. It just seems like he is floating a little bit. Maybe addition of a ground would help with that. |

Just want to clarify that with stiff I mean the figures.
Bowki really touched my heart the few little pages we saw of him, and the way he has never been brought up again makes me sad. Yeah, the Sun Villagers are perfect for warmer, nice tones, in clothing and backgrounds! (Says the person who almost never draws backgrounds, but I WAS going to before loosing interest so yeah.) Thanks for the comment!

You may have think it failed - but I can so tell it is the sun village. Cannot say as I remember who Bowki is though. Good ratio elf to wolf too.

As for Bowki... he is the son of Serrin (daughter of Wing and Betiha) and Dart, both appeared in New Blood... which was drawn by Blair. Bowki had the total of 5 panels, while Serrin, his mother, had 18 panels. Neither has been brought up again in the series, unfortunately.
