Backstory...my dad liked ElfQuest too. I was muchly-pleased that I had one parent that was able to get into my hobby, so when he asked me if I'd draw *him* as an elf (as I did for myself and my friends), I was delighted. He still has the picture I drew for him up on his bulletin board in his home office.
So for his birthday in 2006 I figured it'd be fun to draw an updated version of "Raptor" (as I called him). The bird is a Mississippi Kite, the species he's done about 20 years of field research for. Fun bird...it likes to dive bomb golfers. It's fair to say he's the worlds leading expert on Mississippi Kites. *preens on behalf of her dad*
