Quickfang and the hunt

Sketched a squatting pose at work a few months ago and figured it be perfect for a hunt, and when I thought "hunt" I thought "Quickfang"! Inked it a while back, colored it today with copic markers (and some white ink). For Karena!

You always come up with such unique poses. I wish I could be more daring and do something like that.

I love the blue theme. The way you've made the background fade layer by layer is a really nice touch, it gives the picture a lot of dimension. I might've made the wolves' eyes glow in the dark, but even without that this is really intense, a hunt indeed!

I really love the moodiness of this; the use of cool colors really reflects the character and emotions. I agree with Czarine about the wolves' eyes, but the focus is Quickfang, so I can understand having the wolves as shadowy background. Being up on her toes as she is doesn't seem practical for balance, but I'm thinking maybe this is a snapshot in time, so to speak, of her initially crouching down before springing up and racing off toward her prey. That certainly would fit her personality.

Oh, I love this! The blue color scheme and Quickfang on the hunt! The concept of the background and the wolves is just gorgeous. I personally like that you didn't color the wolves eyes yellow, that keeps them more to the background.

There are several reasons why I didn't use glowing eyes. Indeed the focus is on Quickfang, the rest of the background I sketched in lightly and it has no details. I didn't find it fitting with these colors and this (light) background.
And even so; their eyes can't be seen from this angle. On the right Quickfang's hand is in front of the place where an eye should be, and on the left, well... howling wolves have their eyes closed. ;)
