Oh yes! Two entries with Voll in them! A scene that I really always liked in the comics and you retell it very effectively, without words. It perfectly gets across the situation and everybody's emotions. And the characters look just wonderful!
And I think I have to take back my previous comment: is this traditionally colored? With what did you color this? I do hope you will come back with more art! I'd love to see it! |

It's a great summary of the things that happen at blue mountain. To tell it in that short way was a good job.
I can allready hear Ember saying: "You look like an old funny bird!" I like the clothes of Lord Voll and the hair of Winnowill. |

Love how you've added a border in the style of blue mountain. Wonderful how you let us view this scene from different angles at once.

I like the border too and how Voll's garmet makes up part of it. What a warm scene for such a sad story. The coloring and the lighting are delightful. I would love to see more of your work.

This is the first entry I received and I remember thinking hey, I must be doing something right.
I was really concerned with how participants were going to interpret the theme but when this came in I was overjoyed that at least one person got it. I know we’ve seen it before but not from this angle, which I thought was pretty clever on the part of the artist. Overall a great concept and the artwork is fantastic. |

It is Winnowill and her expression that makes this entry work. Winnowill's "stink eye" gives it a whole other (ominous) layer that wasn't seen in Wendy's depiction of this scene (though, of course, it came up later).
One of the things that stands out to me is how the movement lines of Voll and Winnowill are in conflict and going two different directions, like they are pulling apart. I don't know if this was intended or a happy accident, but it really adds to the piece. |

Thanks everyone for the awesome feedback! I wish I had the time to submit another piece, but I'll definitely be doing some more EQ fanart in the near future! (Voll needs more loving naturally!)
I rendered this piece with Copic and Prismacolor markers on Bristol paper Reading this thread totally made my day |
