I'm really happy how this came out! I simply LOVE drawing rage and fury! and I got to use it here! hohoo!... and yeah, marut has NEVER looked so angry before, Cade seems to be the only one to get him that angry!...

Treefox: no, not really, hitting Marut rrely has any effect, but Cade attacked anyway... but what made Marut so angry is what Cade said to him... that in the end... Marut is just like him... a bear... Marut will never believe that he is something like Cade!... and the tress... that was Cade allright...

Both guys emotions are perfect! And all the rough and wonderful lines really add to the dramatic atmosphere!

Again, very appropriate work on the background, especially for the action among the characters. Poor Marut; seems he just can't get a break lately judging from the illos. He certainly seems enraged and Cade appears somewhere between confused and amused by his reaction. Looks like they've been fighting and Cade wasn't taking it seriously and doesn't know why Marut is. Still, considering what history you've given about the scene, it does explain it.

This is one of my absolute favorites of your pictures. The extpressions are so GREAT! I love the feel of this and how this makes me think of a whole complex story behind it. This angry face is not just angry, it really brings across this kind of helpless anger you feel when you know something goes wrong but you can't stop it unless you calm down and start thinking straight again, but you are just too angry XD
ANd this smug, wide grin. This self-satisfied, pleased look of "No matter what I won!" Love it. Especially the shading in Marut's face is great! From the snippets of the story you show here it really is a great tale with great charcters and I feel like I "know" them just by your pictures

Amberfox: Thank you! Well, Marut isn't taking well to the thing that he might be a bear like Cade... if there is one person Marut hates, it's Cade... oh? a New Marut art from you, that sounds awesome!...
Windschatten: Thank you very much! I'm not worthy of such praise! I'm just glad that my characters seem interesting, I tend to like making characters that are a lot deeper than they look... I might add some parts of the story somewhere, some day, but I find it more interesting to tell a story with pictures, and let the viewers ponder... |
