Alright, again this is very much a work in progress obviously. Nothing has been finalized, colours and shading are all pretty basic and will be vastly different in the final result. Same with the eyelashes obviously, lmao. (the hair was a super quick draw-over because she looks really freaky without it xD)

Her proportions are pretty much settled, but I would LOVE getting feedback, the harsher the better. Once I finish up with the model and progress into the next stage, going back to tweak her features will be super hard. So yeah, any comments/redlines/whatever on her facial structure will be appreciated! :D

Maya nHair. I haven't worked with it before so it'll be interesting to figure out and animate. If that doesn't work, then I'll use mesh, but I'd prefer nHair ^_^

Oh, lovely work! I adore her skin color! Her eyes seem really alive and shining.
Concerning C/C: I think her nose it a bit too long or more protruding a bit too much. I really like the shape, though. The ears are a too large. But they look like they are in much rougher design still.
One final point: maybe make her forehead slightly longer. Even though you don't really see that anymore once it's covered by hair.
I am sooo curious how this will look in the end!!

Actually, I thought the nose was perfect! I agree about the forehead though, she seems to have a rather small skull.

Hmm, I dunno, I'm kinda fond of her nose, I'll have to ponder that a bit. See what fits best :P I hadn't noticed the ears being huge though, that's a good point!
And yeah, her forehead definitely seems too small, I'll fix that.

Thanks guys! And Treefox, me too :D

Aaayooohah  WILDFIRE  !       I just love it when you techno-artist' bang away at your computers.   I became so enamored of the process from watching the ubber amount of extra's on the Lord of the Rings special DVD set. (hours and hours)  I have seen the extras more times than the movies because it is GREAT background noise when I am sculpting alone.

Fan response:   Those eyes . . . just beautiful.  Makes me want to see my River Twine Character in this format.    And I like how you made the skin so very real with such depth and shine.  The eyelash choice is actually brilliant and the teeth from the front view look perfect.

Teacher's hat:  Now here is where I don my ability to offer learning advice.  And while it is not in my nature to be harsh -  I am going to be honest and forthright:
The skull is too small, as you have figured out  (trust your  artist eye)  I do have an example of a skull in my Gallery.     Now the nose IS good, however it is male.  But do not panic.  It is an easy fix.      Females have a layer of fat  *sigh* (lots of places, sadly)  between their eyebrows    IE  the bridge is not as pronounced.   A good recent example in the  EQFA  Gallery is from STARSKIMMER's profile on Foxtail.  This should require very little fixing attention-just fill in the area in front of the eyes a little.  Now when you fix the skull you will notice that you have to pull the ear cartilage back a tiny bit to fill in the whorls and div-its. I cannot see the earlobe, but it is supposed to be level with the lower lip.

Overall I believe you have an amazing start with way more right than off.  If this is just a beginning for you I really cannot wait until it is done !  Please take no offense from my honesty - it was meant to be goodhearted and helpful.

Please continue.

Wow Tah-Marien, that's a super useful reply, thank you! I really don't mind harsh crits, that's the way I learn best and I loooooooove getting them :)

The eyelashes are just a placeholder for now, but I actually kind of like them. I might go for kind of this look in the end rather than proper eyelashes.
Hah, lots of opinions on the nose. I'll try it out and see if it works for me, the layer of fat thing is definitely a new bit of information for me.

Thank you so much :D I'll upload a new WIP once I've incorporated the changes.
