Shadows in the mist

Tidying my digital folders, and came across this file that I scanned when Sketch Fest ended March 2021. Realised I never uploaded it here! So, old for me, hopefully new for you. :)

Started the sketch in 2012 (I might have still been a member of RTH, actually), but I finished it a couple of years ago and then... forgot. Again. I think I was still hoping to come up with a clever way to make it more of a misty picture. It's a mix of various materials; Copics, pencils...

The elf on the right is obviously Pathmark, but I don't quite remember who was meant to be on the left. Possibly Kestrel (his grandmother).

Oh, so nice to see art from you again. It's beautiful.
I like that you also forgott about pictures you have finished and also not sure who the Elfes are, that you draw. This happens to me too sometimes.
It looks like the left elf is kinda sliding down the wolf. That's kinda funny.
I love the trees in the background a lot. They really look misty to me.
The reflection let me think they are standing on a frozen lake. Maybe the reflection takes from me the imagination of mist. But I haven't seen mist in combination with a lake a long while and don't remember how reflections work on that.
Thanks for sharing this!

I like this picture, the wolves , the elves. Beautiful with this fog! Cool idea to use copics and pencils together.

Beauuutiful scene! I love mist-scapes. This is so gorgeous and mysterious. Could be an illustration in a book.
