Well, the concept was to have her fishing, but with the tiny brook it just seems unlikely she would catch anything larger than a tadpole. So we decided she is just taking a small brake during hunting.

I'm completely taken by the way you color your art,. What do you use? I love the background and all the more I Love hor her eyes stand out.

Concerning my coloring technique, it is a wild mix of different things. For basis and background I use rather cheap water crayons: http://www.amazon.com/Neocolor-II-Caran-apos-Ache/dp/B000S5OWCO I use them like normal water colors, I just dab them with a wet brush. Apart from that I also use normal standard color pencils and a couple of the ridiculously expensive Copic markers. Wonderful color saturation! Maybe we German artist should get together for a painting session.

Wonderful background! Very lush. And I love her outfit -- I like how there are familiar elements to it, and also some innovations.

Beautiful portrayal of Dewshine! She looks like she just spotted something, well heard anyway, like she's now trying to focus on the direction it came from.
