Strongbow & Crescent

These were happy times... Father and daughter playing in the water, Moonshade most likely watching them from just outside the picture frame. Practiced my drawing skills in Illustrator, this is the result (painted in Photoshop). Long time since I painted young Strongbow (I kinda like the new, older version, face-fur and all…).

Thanks you two! ^_^ This was a really fun piece to work on, made me realize how different Crescent and Chitter are (at least in my head)...

Aww, so sweet, little Crescent!
Personally I prefer this age for Strongbow, so another yay. ;)

Well.. ehrm.. I think there's probably no WRONG age for Strongbow... ;) *coughs and blushes* Mind you, I got quite a fright the first time I saw any of the elves with face-fur (guess I was just as resistant to change as Strongbow usually is), but I've grown to like it. I suppose change is often good, once you’ve had time to let it sink in ;D Now I just need to figure out what my next project will be, I need to challenge myself and try to sketch someone I've never painted before!

Ooh, but I don't necessarily mean just the beard, but also his brooding, grumpy and hurt personality. I actually quite like beards. ;)

I'd say that Chitter is working hard on that (must be difficult staying grumpy with her around) :D
On a totally different note, what if any of the wolfrider females had face-fur (after all, they've got as much wolf blood in them as the male wolfriders... why not)? Someone should sketch that ;D

I actually did that once, as request. I've reposted it now!

That's great! I'm glad you did it in a nonhumorous way (you know "ha, ha, she's got a beard, look at her"), this is a character I'd like to know more about!

Just realised; several of the ancestors in Rivertwine Holt were very wolflike as well. There's some pictures of them on the site: http://www.rivertwine.com (under art, choose "ancestors" in the drop-down menu), females as well!
