I swear I get the weirdest ‘Dark Overlord and followers' from this drawing.
Merheen, the nice one of my High Ones, using one of two powers I’ve spent a year saying he can’t have because it’s just plain unfair to his enemies on Abode.
Of course he just tilted his head to the side, look puzzled, and said ‘there’s no such thing as Fairness on this world.’
Said power in use here allows him (and few others) to walk in shadows as if they had their own dimension. Here they’ve entered the stronghold of whatever idiot they’re at war with.
Merheen is likely saying:

‘Stop us from getting in? My friend, we’ve been here since noon….You must forgive my companions, they’re quite the fond of violence.’

Can I have my own shadowy dimension for lunch breaks at work? Sounds pretty super.
I actually always liked the "glowy eyes with no pupils" as Wendy draws them at several places in EQ.
Nice to seem them here.

I'm sure you can order a shadow-dimension creating device on Amazon, saw one yesterday.

Yes, I get a evil overlord feeling too. Or rather... the leader in a vampire cult, the good one, deep inside. But rules his minions with an iron fist. Wherein he talks with a silky yet mocking voice. And you are so fascinated by the character, because the deeds are rather good, all in all.

Does it make sense?

I love the eerie mood, how you show how many who is there, in the shadows.

Is it possible to use one shadowy dimension to enter another one?

You mean a completely separate  shadowy dimension or an alternate universe's shadowy dimension? Or heck, timelines?

Jamirah wants to roll in his pancho... Well, you know what else she wants...

I really love this picture. I love his slightly smug expression, its just so amazing, its so weird seeing him express anything but... 100% kindness in his smiles.
(for some reason I imagine Beyond, Zharo, and Chenah behind him...)

Yes, a completely separate one. One created by ones own mind, to be specific.

Zharo and Chenah would be outside of the place they're attacking. Beyond is actually one of the 3 more visible elves behind Merheen.

Maybe. It might be above what he can do. Who knows?

Well, he seems a dark overload with minions just eager to pounce on the viewer. Nice smug smirk on his face with the rather sinister grins on the two behind him on our left. I love your pencilwork; the shading and ability to convey the emotion behind the illo are unmistakable.

I'm assuming if we manage to make it past him and the three minions, those five ovals are MORE minions waiting for their chance at us?
