In Storyteller by Christoph Schilling - Posted Jan 28, 2024
What can I say, every year you outdo yourself, Christoph. This is a well deserved first month (aka openng page) of the calendar. I wonder if anyone would ever beat you to it, one year. ;)
I am really amazed by how well you did the light and shadow play of the flames. Very athmospheric picture that tells a story by itself.
In Spring Day by Wintergreen - Posted Jan 28, 2024
Huh, this is a character I have not thought of as an elder. Great choice!  I really like her pose and that deer is just stunning! Wonderfully done.
In Sleep Now, Pups by Swev - Posted Jan 28, 2024
A thanquil and sad scene. I felly real sorry for Timmin here. Surrounded by so many family members, yet still alone and out of place... :/ You captured this contradiction very well.
As others mentioned before, the use of color and light is just fantastic. Very etherical.
In A Fruitful Future by Veronica Lacquement - Posted Jan 28, 2024
Wow, I am amazed at how well you tackled the forshortening perspective! That's just amazing!
Thanks for sharing the story behind the picture. It makes it even more beautiful. I am also a sucker for those bright, strong colors.
In Under a New Sun by Treefox - Posted Jan 28, 2024
They look so young and playful here. That new sun musst have a rejuvenating effect! :D
The colors are wonderful in this picture. I also really like how you depicted the crystal structures and buildings. Overall a very uplifting scene.

This looks as if it belongs into a fairy tale book. The whole composition reminds me of one of these illustrations that you find in Grimm's or Anderson's stories. I adore the details on the tail. I can only imagine that it must have taken hours to color it. The colorful background adds a great athmosphere.

That play with two light sources is just stunning! Wonderfully and skillfully executed! And the character herself looks great, too. You really show her cunning-ness and confidence.
In The Bone Woman's Prayers by Odin Strand - Posted Jan 28, 2024
This looks like a drawing made with chalk on a cave wall. Really nice touch and so athmospheric! I wonder if she is doing a ritual just for herself or if she has an audience.
In A Full Life by Treefox - Posted Jan 28, 2024
Nightrunner for the win! Great and unusal choice for this year's calendar theme. And those autumn-y vibes are just delicious. Love the bright and warm colors!
Looking closer it seems as if he just saw somehing that gave him a miscievious idea. Or is he just watching the leaves fall...?
In Losing the Flight by Czarine - Posted Jan 28, 2024
The posture is so elegant! Really like the overall dreaminess and melancholy of this scene. It makes me feel real sorry for Lord Voll. He definitely needs a hug.
In Not Drawn to Scale by Katrina Joyner - Posted Jan 28, 2024
Haha, the birds are too funny,.. espcially the "dead" one in the upper left corner. It cracked me up. Really hillarious! I really like and admire the cartoon-y style you used here.

Lovely! I really like the muted color-scheme. And the seahorse is a cute and funny add-on.
In Keep Out by Christoph Schilling - Posted Feb 27, 2023
This picture radiates raw, untamed power, which is so in contrast to the quite and focused determination on Ahdri's face. Very striking contrast. And the rendering/coloration of those gold accessories on her is just perfect! SO shinyyyy!
In Into the Woods by Maggie Atkinson - Posted Feb 27, 2023
Finally, Kimo!! He looks gorgeous! Love the curious, open look he is giving us.
In Ember and Goldruff - Posted Sep 26, 2021
This is adorable!
In Feathertip - Posted Sep 18, 2021
This pic and style look very familiar. Where could I have seen it before? Deviant Art, maybe? Or have you played in an online holt?
In Our Holt #7: Mangrove - Posted May 25, 2021
Wheeee!!! Why haven't I seen this before???? She looks gorgeous. Love all the small bits and pieces and her voloumous hair. The skin color is great, too. Thanks so much for drawing and painting her.

(Yaay, I can comment now! :) )
The movement looks great. And I had to grin while reading your description. Here is one dedicated biologist (?) at work!
