Ruffle of the Sunfolk village
by Rowtiger
Startear gave me some wonderful inspiration to go back to working in a convention style sketch medium. Here is a bust portrait of Ruffle of the sunfolk, she was created on canson smooth bristol with Copic multiliners 03-05-08-& Brush. Then gray scaled with Copic sketch markers warm and cool gray series 01 thru 06, and as I usually do I have added only color to the eyes and lips in order to draw the view to the face. View point is just above and to the right. Let me know what you think and if you'd like to see more of this style of mine, Gray scale is where I really start to shine in my artwork and where I'm happiest with what I create. It's wierd, looking at the thumbnail she looks a little to chesty but when I look at the original in hand I'm not really seeing that effect...hmm...maybe it's just me, I don't know.

I think she's quite busty, but it fits her general roundness. She's sweet! I like the color accents and the stylish hair.
The color actually distracts from the bustyness. |

Very interesting concept for this character but isn't her name "Ruffel"? Also I kind of miss the colour a little, especially where a Sun Villager is concerned. Nice work though.

I'm all for round softness, but her head just seems a little too demure for the strong, broad shoulders and wide torso. Still, a good representation!
