Cone

Here she is, with clothes and fully done. Since in a lot of images she'll be sad or grim, I decided to do one of her getting ready to hunt, prior to loss of wolfriend. Used watercolor on this.
Gonna pretend that I don't know that angle on the bow is impractical and possibly painful.

So this is what her clothes look like! and you manage to use the watercolors far better than I! (I'm lousy with them) the colors stay on the areas they are supposed to, and the colors aren't in splashes of different shade of the color used...

Yup, this is what they look like. It was fun to draw/paint but goodness, I couldn't concentrate for more than ten minutes every time I worked this. Except when painting, that is. XD
About watercolor, I do think it is fun, but I like markers better, this is so time consuming. and I hate waiting for the paint to dry so that I can add more furry/hairlike look. With markers it is so easy, you just ad and add and add nonstop until it looks good. But still fun, because I have to wrap my mind around that I'm not using markers now... |

I just can't use anything that is a brush, but I believe that you are onto something here... have you ever tried mixing the two things up?... paint something, and then add marker sketching on the top?... with your style, it might just work!...

I have tried to use multiple medias, like doing skin with copics, clothes/hair in promarkers and then some watercolor in this image; http://www.elfquestfanart.com/index.php?action=media;sa=item;in=3728 but I've only tried to lay marker as a base and then add black pencil over it. I must try to experiment with that!

Oh, I like this so much! I get some very beautiful Ronja, the Robber's Daughter vibes. She's lovely and the outfit with all the fur so nicely wearable. The body turned out fine! You should continue to draw full-body figures.

Kvitulven: Yes... Only have to remember it! XD
Treefox: I thought it was about time that I did a full body shot which wasn't a chibi in watercolor! Glad you like it, and yes, definetly continuing full bodies! They are fun to draw now that I think I "get it." Nilla: Thanks! Loved designing these clothes. Berit: I love experimenting with these things. About painting with ink, I haven't really tried it. When I was in England last year I found these gorgeous pens in an alley shop, which were ink brushes. They were cheap, but I didn't draw much back then so it didn't occour to me to buy one for myself. (I did buy two to a friend of mine, who works with caligraphy as a hobby though.) |

Well, I do a lots of art using only ink... none of that is here, though. but I think you might like it... it takes time to get used to inks and how they work...
