Okay, it's just too DAMN QUIET here! I don't really have anything new ready for primetime, so I thought I'd throw something old but recently colored in just to make sure SOMETHING is posted for this month. I may have one or two more that I wouldn't be totally embarrassed to post at this point before the month is out, but until then...here is Paul Carter's Derro from Ocean's Edge Holt, run by Sam Whitaker. I posted the black and white ages ago, but I only got around to coloring the damn thing a little while ago. Because of the color scheme, I honestly think I like the black and white version better. Either way, he's always been gorgeous to me...really should get around to posting his mate (MY character - woohoo!).

Yaaaay! Thanks for posting something! He is GOREGOUS! Your colors are so smooth, like velvet. Love it always. Wow, he looks like a fierce warrior. Such a nice body! Wow. This very fiery color scheme just looks so cool. And with fitting hair color as well. Also, his hair style is wicked and I like his golden tiara/crown. So many details to discover. Looking forward to see your character!
I also want to do my next portrait, but I am still fighting with the calendar sketch... it is not coming along as planned...

I will definitely be posting again very soon. I have three of my four Songjoy illos colored, just need to figure out a background or something. Sigh. Not a fan of backgrounds; they take me ten times longer than the actual illo. Also have that one illo I mentioned, should have that finished soon as well. I'm not happy with the way the tail colors turned out or how I did the details on it, but I'm happy with the scales. And hair, of course. I have also done three calendar sketches, but need to finalize something to present. In the meantime, glad you like Derro!
