Our Holt #17: Marek

In the tradition of Mirror and her stunning art, "Our Tribe," I was inspired to do similar. Initially, I was going to group them as Mirror has, but then I got lazy trying to get everyone organized (especially since some do not have heights listed) and complicated because I kept the individual illos large. I also wanted to draw characters that haven't had a lot of time in the spotlight, for the most part. As always, the scanner just doesn't do the colors justice, but at least you can get an idea of what I was going for. I already have about a dozen characters drawn, but I intend to color them all instead of inking them. Takes longer, but I just felt like trying to do it. I hope I've done everyone justice, but if I haven't, let me know and I'll make the corrections. And if anyone would really like to see what I can do with their character(s), contact me. Up now is MenderFanForest's Marek. I can attest Marek is indeed shy; he simply did NOT want to be drawn or colored. I think this is the fourth or fifth attempt at drawing him; trust me, the other sketches were just too bad to even finish. Coloring didn't go any better. Still, I tried and I hope I did him some justice.

I really like the colors and the shades in his hair. The blueish black is working well for you. And the seductive sway of the hips. But I have to admit, the tree kind of steals the show. It's just so rich and intricate!

He looks soft here and I like the skin tone, also I really like the pose, gotta say I don't know the character but he seems a bit of a loner here, the kind who sometimes likes to walk alone in the forest...
