Fadestar Art Trade
by Maggie
This is Linda's character Fadestar from River Twine Holt. She is doing a picture of my character Windsong for our art trade.
The drawing was done in a rush because I had no idea it needed to be finished before the end of this month.

I gotta say I'm fascinated when it comes to your way of coloring. O,O I love the glassy look her hair has.

Mmm, yeah, I love how glossy that hair is! Also love the detail to her lips and little pointy teeth. All the details in this are exactly what they need to be...exquisite.

I love the energy in this work. It almost reminds me of vintage airbrush art. The color choices are gorgeous!

Oh, this is a lovely surprise! I sort of expected Moonshade but Fadestar is just as lovely. The shinyness is truly gorgeous. There's soemthing about that eyeshape that I absolutely love. Go Maggie!

That is gorgeous! Maybe a little bit too shiny but I know it's part of your style, which I adore, so it works in its own way. Lovely colouring too

Thank you all for the kind comments, I feel so special...haha.
@Icebird - Too shiny is right. I am still working on finding a definite style so I went with a kind of velvet Elvis thing with the highlights. To be honest blue-black hair is not my favourite, it is very Superman and unrealistic to me, so I struggle when faced with the prospect of having to work with it. @Treefox – Moonshade will be posted someday soon. |

I love the shiny in this ! When I first saw it I thought " Wow somebody did a beautiful elf in stained glass !" Do you color on the computer ? In a program ?

@Tah-Marien - Yes I colour on the computer using Photoshop. I used to use only watercolours so I try and keep that look but I find Photoshop to be a good match for me because I don't plan ahead. I just start drawing or colouring and when you use something like watercolour, that can end in disaster if you make a mistake.

I really like your style. Your strokes are clear, yet look dreamy. And your color-choice is harmonic, yet dynamic. *applauses*
