Such a cool foot! Ah yes, that sword!
I nowadays really wonder where the Go-Backs get their weapons from... Again, great dynamics here! I tried to catch the dynamics from your pictures for my latest fanart calendar pic. |

Thank you! well, I think they take their weapons from the Trolls they defeat in battle... it would make sense, since they don't waste anything... I wonder what you calendar picture will look like! it will be fun to see it!...

Ditto! I am sooo looking forward to your entries! I think I will get up veeery early on January 1st to see the outcome!
Concerning the weapons, what you say sounds logical. They just seem too fitting for elven hands sometimes. Nothing I can't live with as I kinda like all the different interesting weapons the Go-Backs use! |

Yeah, that's true about the weapons, but I always thought that they make the Troll weapons fit their own hands, by removing the current handles and adding their own, changing that kind of parts to a weapon isn't all that hard in reality. so I think it must be something like that... I've been building historical weapons a bit, and sometimes, when I get an old weapon elsewhere, I have to fix them a bit (many times handles are broken or missing)... but I'm getting off subject! sorry, I do love old weapons!...

Weapons are really fascinating. Personally I'm more of a bow person, after making a traditional English longbow in 10 th grade, complete with strings used from cat intestines. Does anyone have any idea how hard it was to get the strings, and how awkward it was to ask it in stores for traditional weapon makers what you were looking for? (Funny thing is, I found it in a tennis shop, the creme apparently uses it.) Yet the string was unpractical, they are destroyed easily by rain, with exception of making the string slippery as hell, hence not getting a good shot. Those monsters of bows could hit it's mark from 300 meters distance. If used by a experienced archer that is.
I have used swords but can only barely hold my own. (Better at dodging than attacking.) But what I like particularly about archery is that one is often further away from the target/aggressor. I know, cowardice for the win. |

Me, I love it when it gets up close and personal! though I admit, that I like bows too, crossbows and "normal" bows... I like maces, I like axes, I like spears... anything old and used in a war, I love it... I actually have a collection of weapons at home... no guns, but other stuff... I made a rapier little while ago, it was not fancy, but I did one...

I am also fascinated with weapons, but not with firearms, just the "historical" stuff.
When I saw Disney's Robin Hood as a very young kid for the first time I so wanted to learn archery and sword fighting. As sword fighting was difficult to realize, my parents actually gave me a small bow for Christmas. One of the best gift's ever! I learned some archery at a club, but was still a bit too young to really join. But I love archery to this day! When I moved to my current working location I finally found a historic fencing club and now I can use swords, daggers, poles, fists... at least a little. Even though I had to stop fencing due to my work, you can talk about historic weapons with my any time. |

Treefox! careful what you say! when someone gets me talking about weapons, I REALLY do get carried away!... I love everything about weapons, their looks, what they stand for, their smell, their weight... everything...

Haha, I wish I could take you to our fencing club once! There you can do all the smelling, touching, wrestling, fencing... whatever! One of our members actually has a couple of real historic weapons. He even used one for fencing!
