I wanted to join in, but the character I wanted (Cutter) is spoken for.
However, I’m noticing Skywise is not spoken for. I’d love to use him, if possible.

Emotive sounds great. That would be an interesting calendar, covering the gamut: happy, sad, angry, scared, etc, all played on a character's face. Colors can be used to express emotions too.

It's Elfquest's 35th Anniversary, so we could somehow fit that in to a theme, somehow...

Well, I actually love the idea of doing movie posters with the elves in. I particularly had the idea years ago of recreating the Casablanca film poster, but with Cutter, Leetah and Rayek in place of Rick, Ilsa and Victor Lazlo (and Renault would be Skywise!).

Goes to the Movies sounds fun!
Actually, I had recently done an EQ sketch based off the Casablanca poster...

Going Back is Hidden Years #2, where Kahvi tries to steal the little palace from the Sun Folk. She wears a pretty skimpy outfit in that one.

Windrider, might I do Newstar (SatS/Discovery)? It almost killed me doing my Nightfall submission, but I enjoyed it. Now I'm done, I'd love to tackle Newstar. She's just beautiful.

Okay, so with the white margins on the side of the art - you mean, no part of the main artwork (like a weapon or any part of the body) can go off the margins, has to be white all around?
I think I may be done! Just wanted to make sure..

I live in Colorado, born and raised! Sadly won't be able to make there; seems interesting.

Back in 1993, my mom ordered for me Wendy Pini's Law And Chaos: The Art of Stormbringer book and A Wolfrider's Reflection CD. I remember waiting very impatiently for them in the mail. Still have the CD, and the Stormbringer book is still around somewhere, but it's fallen apart, all the pages fell out. Still have all the pages though. I devoured that book, wanted (and still want) to draw like THAT. Just wow! I never read the Elric stories, but because of Wendy's art, I did do some drawings of Elric years and years ago. I've seen a lot of art of Elric online, but none have captured the feel of Wendy's. I tried to emulate the way she drew him. I have a recent little sketch of him in my sketchbook...maybe I oughta post it..
Anyway, I digress.

well, here's the thing - since I'm doing Hidden Years/Dreamtime era Nightfall, the hot pants are in accordance with her leathers from that period. They'll be green. I just had to figure out a way to show more skin, make her sexy (well, sexier than she already is) and somehow I arrived at those rockin' daisy dukes she wears back in book 2, in Sorrow's End. 'Cept, it'll be different.
by the by, could we post previews of our entries here? Or let everyone wait and be surprised?

Heck, I'm already halfway done! Already drawn, scanned and put together. All I need do now is color it, which will be a big job. I can't believe how fast I'm going on my piece; it's nowhere near November still!
Oh, here's a hint of things to come with my Nightfall: the return of hot pants!

Question: Would Hidden Years era Nightfall essentially be the same as Dreamtime Nightfall? Between the two, Wendy changed her outfit very slightly. But I like to be sure about these things. Anyway, there's more copious images of Nightfall from Dreamtime.

Hi, is it too late to claim Nightfall (Hidden Years)? I'd like to give that a try.
Failing that, Clearbrook, Ember and Leetah are on my list of pin-up possibilities.
