Oh my! Even if it is unfinished, I love the sensual  tenderness in this. I am especially captivated by Tukteh’s expression, it is so good. The way they interact with each other is just so great. I am glad you are sharing even as you are hitting pause. Seeing the wip’s is just so special and adds so much.

Oooh, nice portrait! I like how you combined the more realistic style with the flat colors, with a more rendered background.
In Most certainty a hug - Posted Aug 05, 2025
God, nilla, the interactions between your characters are always *chef’s kiss* I love how you depict his gentler side, he even took off his horns, I cannot deal! I love the stark colors against the pencil. Just, so good!
In The Secret True History of the Ones Who Really Matter - Posted Aug 03, 2025
Oh I would so read this! The trolls are really fascinating part of Elfquest, both in terms of their culture, the way their society was always more sophisticated than the elves (except for maybe the Gliders, but that did not last long, lol.) I’d love to get more of their perspective. My favorite is Trinket. Her personality is so fun! And furthermore, she is the first queer troll we’ve seen on page. Here she is perfect!

When it comes to the first-comer troll plot point, I found it similar to some other plots in Final Quest. Very interesting, but wrapped up either way too fast, and/or with a twist that undermines it. See both the whole Strongbow/Moonshade breakup and not to mention how Chot was treated like he was absolute garbage for… being kidnapped and held prisoner? Like everyone has already said, while it was admirable that Cutter-Timmain wanted to mend this bridge. They just barged into the sanctuary without a care and said; “we are sorry, and you shall forgive us due to plot reasons.” Which not only undermined the apology, it removed the trolls actual agency.

I mean, longtooth’s exist in Cutter’s time, who is to say that mammoth didn’t in Prey Pacer’s time? I think it is a shame that we barely got to know him except for the disastrous way he handled this recognition. Just such a mess that could have been avoided entirely. On art side, I do love the action shot of Moonwreath, it is very badass.

Oooh, I really love the colors in the background! They really make the character pop on the page!
In Tukteh - Posted Aug 02, 2025
I find it amusing that almost everyone here hates summer. Not that I disagree, I am a winter person myself so summers are a doozy. I really like the hoodie, it reminds me of Toorah’s hood. I also am always captivated by the way you use pencil, how you make it so soft, yet detailed.
In New characters! - Posted Aug 02, 2025
Oh, yay, more afke art! I actually like the color of the hood, orange and pink are great colors together! And as the others have said, your characters always oozes charisma and personality.
In Scars - Posted Jul 31, 2025
Those are some scars there! Bear hunts are no joke, I understand why Shadow would ban them.
In In the beginning… - Posted Jul 31, 2025
Oh wow, so that is how it started, huh? Quite an interesting concept, never really thought of the homo sapiens vs Neanderthal but gay, however I am anything but complaining! I dig it!  I like how tall Morningstar is, and their tender expressions. I especially like how you colored their hair. You can clearly see the texture in each persons hair.
In At the beach - Posted Jul 31, 2025
This is so cute! I love their cpresdions, and the clothing design! It is so great!
In Pick up your „twink“ - Posted Jul 31, 2025
This is amazing. I can so picture Beyond doing that, and Auli just casually strolling away with him is. *chef’s kiss*
In Fire and Flight remastered; p10 - Posted Jul 30, 2025
The backlight coloring on Nightfall is to die for. Love the how you changed the scene to Redlance working on his magic, instead of hunting alone, which in hindsight seems out of character.
In Fire and Flight remastered; p9 - Posted Jul 30, 2025
Oh, I love your take on the shaman! The way they portrayed the shamans in Elfquest was never great. It was always rife with anti-native bullshit, which was always a bit weird because The Pinis were very much about mysticism. In this version you made him look like a grieving old man who lost his best hunter (and protege? Wolfrider kind of insinuated that Tabak was going to be the next shaman. Then again it is very unclear if it was that or he just took extra interest because Tabak was such a fierce warrior) is not thinking clearly.

I was really captivated by the dancing troll. It both looks like how Oddbit danced for her king, but also the clothing reminds me of Letha and the gals danced in Original Quest. It is just. So good. Both that the way they dance is not so different, but that it is a cultural memory that has been carried in both elves and trolls alike. Which of course Rayek misses, he is too caught up in recent memory of fighting said trolls that he too cannot comprehend their perspective or how similar they are.

This comic is so great! Can’t wait to see the next instalment!
In Once of Stars pp 4-5 - Posted Jul 30, 2025
Oh man, the costume designs! Love the trolls especially, and their resentment at their so called «rescuers» really makes sense. As everyone else, I especially adore the one troll stomping in the background.  It also the one dressed as a princess in the foreground. Just, the line of action, the foreshortening just. Argh it is so great. I also love the moth line quality of the High Ones.
In BLEH - Posted Jul 30, 2025
Oh I love this! The interactions! The fanning! What a sweet friend! The dying in the heat.Very relatable. (I am so glad it cooled off here) How Woodbee got the chicken on them and just. Gave up. Amazing work. I also love how you colored it, the sepia tones are great!
In Treestump - Posted Feb 16, 2025
I still say that he looks like the bear’s trophy husband, lmaoo.

Joking aside, this is so beautiful Treefox! I love the contrast with the bright blue. He looks like he belongs in Greece, and I mean that in the best way possible. Love how the gold looks like fish, a nice nod to Rillfisher! I also noticed the hand on the axe. It really captivates me. The curve. The strength. Somehow you make their hands look so natural. It is just. Gorgeous.
In Keeping Filkers In Check by Katrina Joyner - Posted Jan 13, 2025
Haha, this is amazing! Love Nonna’s devious expression, and the horror on the preservers face. And the trees, it is perfect for the holidays.
In Teaching and Making by Rowan Procter - Posted Jan 13, 2025
Oooh, this is so cute! The texture of the sky is really cool. And I love seeing all the different makings. Making of the clothes, the howl and making of the home. Just such a cozy scene.
