ElfQuest Fan Art

Most folks here already know who both these characters are, but I figure it's helpful to give more context for this AU. ^^

I originally labelled the sketch of this as "lake", as in clothing that would dry out quickly after a swim, but then I realised it would also be good for when Pinecone and her lovemate Crescent are hanging out in the Sun Village post-resurrection. She might want some sunscreen, though… xD

Not to be confused with Wingthing's "Swiftverse", where Cutter is a female elf named Swift and Recognises Rayek, this is just fem!Cutter and guy!Leetah (though, since "Leetah" is one of the rare elf names that's kinda gender-specific, I came up with the male equivalent "Zahleet".

I like digital and traditional art about equally well, so I also did a digital redraw of this old picture.

A redraw of an old pic I did in my high school days. "Sabaku no Hana" means "desert flower" in Japanese, because I'm a huge weeaboo.

Another commission for Vaeri, this time showing the lifemates Feldspar (Swiftverse's version of Tyleet) and her lifemate Door (Fenn in this universe) and the children of their multiple Recognitions.

I think Elfmom has said there were originally only 40 or so Sun Villagers, but I named way more than that based on her artwork. >_>

It should go without saying that a sudden increase in the variety of the gene pool is going to lead to TONS of Recognitions.

Yes I have 2 Stormsongs in one picture. One of them was named in the AU long before the other one hush

I headcanoned original names for Brace and both Doors long ago, but when we learned their canon names during FQ, I decided to adopt 'em. ^^

I always really, really liked Foxeye's new outfit designs for Crescent, so I kind of…borrowed one of them. ^^; It's okay as long as I give credit, right?

If the Elfparents can get away with not explaining every little detail, why can't I?

Strongbow put it best in KoBW when he referred to Cutter's leadership of the merged Wolfrider/Sun Folk/Glider/Go-Back society as "the only chief who can keep the whole, barking, four-tribe mess of us pulled together". XD

I started doing a whole bunch of combination text + art pages like these, grouped into sets, but never finished most of them. I'll at least post the pages I DID finish, in the hopes it helps explain the backstory of my AU a little better.
