Did this as a trade with Mike, who owns True Edge.  This is an illustration for Mike's story, "A Cub No More?", about True Edge as a young teen, just starting to "notice" girls, and talking it over with his sister, Sunlight.

Pentel Pocket-Brush pen inks; Copic marker coloring; lots of after-effects in Photoshop.

This is gorgeous! feel of the emotion behind it very nicely done, and all that green it brings much happyness to my soul :)

Thanks!  I was grateful to Mike for having a scene that was specifically set sitting up in a tree in strong daylight. :)

(The names of both characters -- TE was "Lightgaze" at this point -- were meant to suggest an affinity for daylight-hours that's a little unusual amongst wolfriders.  Although really, our tribe is more mixed-diurnal than truly nocturnal.)

Huuu!! I like the background in this a LOT!... so many leaves there, simple but very detailed, and it doesn't hog all the spotlight! it works very well with the characters here!... nice feel of shade in this picture... it sure makes you remember what itis like to be under a tree in a bright summerday...
