OK, here's my new Go-back elf self! I drew another one years ago, fighting trolls, but that just... doesn't fit anymore. I like trolls too much and I'm not very into the status quo. So I came up with something else instead.
How about my elf self just babysits? Not 'just', but using puppets and voices to make the little ones feel at ease, forget about sorrows, or perhaps drown out the loud storm outside.
I had been thinking about using puppets for one elf self at the least, and it became the Go-Back, mainly because of the sketch I made last year. It was going to be for the calendar, but it was when I realised I had lost a certain grasp of proportions, which I am only now getting back, so I abandoned the sketch. It was Kahvi and Tyldak making shadow puppets on Tyldak's translucent wing, and telling wild adventures to the Go-Backs. So puppets by association.
For their name I'm settling on Nixa.
It looks a bit smudgy, because my hand leaned on the right side too much. It's rather small; I have a postcard sized sketchbook I was hoping would help me jot down some ideas without pressure (seems to work so far).

Ahhhhh, this is adorable and sooo cute !!!!!! I love the hair and the puppet!!!! Now I notice I never made a Go-Bcvk Marl. Might have to get to that at some point.

Ohhh! You brought the puppets and Elfquest together! This is perfect. The kids! So so cute! You look great as a Go-Back. I love to see your pencil sketches. It doesn't look all that smudgy to me. Man, this is cute.

Aw Marl, that's fine, none are a must! To be honest the High ones didn't even cross my mind, I don't think I can place myself among them, simply cannot imagine.

I third the cuteness factor! Love the fawns are so engaged in Nixa's story, all three seem to be in on a wonderful tale. Actually, developing puppets to tell stories makes sense with the GoBacks. I mean, on those ridiculously icy nights around the fire, surely stories would be told. I also do not think that the right side looks smudged. If you hadn't said anything, I'm sure I wouldn't have even thought to scrutinize an edge. I've always said I'm a fan of pencilwork; there's just something about it that's so endearing. Love the idea of this and your sELF being a puppeteer for GoBack fawns.

Ohh I love this. Maybe that's her character arc, going from warrior to caretaker.
It's so nice to see Go-Back kids being happy. |
