I've always had a lot of trouble with fullbody drawings, but I think I'm getting slightly better. Another problem I have is character heights (I blame elfquest completely, the wolfriders look tall and perfectly proportioned, but are like waaaay to small when you put them next to humans. There's one panel in Final Quest that just breaks my brain every time. Give me the tall elves!)
Uli's always very difficult for me, because she's quite negative character and I've never really been able to explain why she's like that. But I've reworked her background and I think her grumpiness is now adequately explained by having her being an amnesiac Beyond found half drowned in the river.
(For some reason all my characters can basically be the main character.)

She's a very lovely character and I'll have to go and check out her CIS/bio. Maybe sometimes we don't have to have a defined reason why someone is the way they are. Maybe she's just unhappy with her culture or has that doesn't fit in feeling. Again, will have to check out her CIS. Good job with her in the trees. She looks both reflective ad melancholic at the same time. Has her family brought her any peace?

Oh, she looks so pensive and slightly lost.. I also think it's fine, that we don't know every detail about a character. Maybe it'll reveal itself over time.

Yeah sometimes characters can use some updates. We grow, they grow; and we outgrow who we were before and what we may have given our characters was cool first but cringy now, so they need to change as well
 **looks at own chars, lol**I really like her pose, you did well! Do full body more often and it'll get easier every time. For positioning the picture I would've cropped it differently. Add more space to the left, so she can look off in the distance, place her face more to the right of the frame. It doesn't matter if there's nothing there, it'll feel more natural and a viewer's gaze will be guided though the picture more fluently. |
