Ah, I also still love this challenge! Wow, 1997 against 2025... almost 30 years apart!! A huge change and, of course, quite a different medium. So cool to see how you took her elements and "modernized" them. SHe looks so good.

It's funny how I just randomly came up with those elves' designs back then, and how I didn't think about them for years... Only to be absolutely drawn to this elf earlier this year, realising I seemed to have put the most effort in that corner on the left. I think perhaps that brown pup could be her wolffriend!
Also, it's been 10 years since the last picture in this folder was uploaded, so it could use some new entries!

Whew! Quite a change! I know how it is with a character from ages ago that you almost completely forget, and something happens - BOOM! You're drawn back to the character, and you give them new life. Okatay has matured since that first drawing, she actually seems more alive and with greater personality. Her gaze to the viewer is strong and confident. I believe I said it with the original post of the wall painting that I thought she was lovely and had my attention even then. She has a wolf friend? Is she a Wolfrider or Jackwolf rider? Look forward to learning more of her story!

I'm happy that you rediscovered that wall painting and that it is so inspirational to you. All the more art for us to enjoy!
 Adding a wolf friends would be awesome. As Amberfox says, Jackwolf would also be cool! I really want to add to this challenge again... but I have so many projects on my plate, I think it'll take a while.

I feel like most of us when first discovering EQ and coming up with our own elf will gravitate towards the Wolfriders, because it's mostly them the story follows. I want to give the other tribes some attention this way, so therefor; Jackwolfrider.
 I already have an image in my head with her wolffriend... that's been a problem, my mind comes up with so much (inspiration was never the problem) but to get it out is something else. |

Yeah, same here! Inspiration was never a problem for me! I still have a million ideas in my head, adding daily to them.
I think many chose Wolfriders for their own characters, however, I created a folk of mer-elves (before I knew anything about Wavedancers). I needed mermaid elves in my life at the age of... 8/9 apparently.
