One of my sketches I wasn't too sure of at first, wasn't Elfquesty enough.
Went back to it after finished inking the other picture, and picked up a darker pencil to correct some things. Coming a lot closer this time.

Why the hood? Well, I actually hate summers, lol.

Yaaay, Afke art!! Lovely soft drawing. I really like the shading and designs of the jumper. BTW summer isn't my favourite time either. Way too hot and sweaty... bleh!

It's beautiful!(Yessss!  More reference!  More angles!) Tukteh has such kind, soft eyes and pleasant smile - just a tinge of wryness or mischief or both.  I really like their face shape and nose.

@Saree, well I had to come up with something in the desert that would match me. Imagine being born there and not liking the heat. ;D
Actually summers (and winters) are quite different now than they were in my youth, so not that far fetched. I imagine them perhaps being born in the cooler season if there is one... at night, lol. Like I was born in winter. Oh, didn't the Sunvillage have like a rainy season? That brings on the festival of flood and flower?

@Woodbee, their chin should be a bit more rounder still, but the next one will be better (I already used it as a thumbnail for this folder).
I don't know what wryness is, and google translate isn't very helpful with it. Do you have an alternative word? I'm still developing characteristics, and who knows it may apply. ;)

'Wry' comes from a word for 'crooked', as in a crooked or lopsided smile: a wry smile shows humor or fondness, but also acknowledges the less fortunate elements that come with living life, elements that lead to and can't be separated from the happy moments.  It's a happier expression than 'resigned', and indicates a more active attitude towards life than 'Zen.' It might be associated with dark humor or gallows humor.

Wryness: dry humor, mocking humor. Tukteh does seem to have a warm personality, a bit of an undertone of playfulness. It does seem somewhat odd that as a Sun Villager, Tukteh doesn't like the heat, but deserts can be quite cold as well, since there's little to retain the heat of the day or the season. I'm sure floods can lower the temps as well. The hood reminds me of Toorah's outfit but with a pattern. The depiction, however, seems the fabric is less moth fabric and more heavy cotton. I myself LOVE summer - bring on the heat and the humidity (plenty of it where I live)! But I can't tolerate bright sunlight; I have ridiculously sensitive eyes and have the skin tone to rival Winnowill's. Can't wait to see more of your new gang! Love we're being inspired again!

Oh, yeah, dry or mocking or self-deprecating humor, definitely included as possibilities for 'wry.'

Wow, beautiful sketch! Your linework is so clean and soft... I just don't get how one can draw like that. So pretty. I am totally with Tukteh, being not good with heat. That hoody would provide good protection for my pretty sensitive skin. I am there with Amberfox... *laughs* But still envious that Amberfox is good with heat. I am getting better at dealing with it though!
I also think Tukteh looks kind and like a good listener somehow. I can't even beging to describe how much I love that nose shape. That is a great nose! Beautiful eyes, too! Thanks for sharing this!

By the high ones their cute! With the hoodie in maximum heat is so relatable. There was a time where I would go out in a black hoddie and jeans in 30C weather. Hate summer too, the sun is nice but the heat horrible!
