Her expression certainly does reflect the stubborn, opinionated, albeit inarticulate description you've given her! She does have a bit of a child-like quality to her face, likely because of the roundness, pug nose, and pouty cupid bow lips. Love the hair decoration, details like that are very eye catching...and inspiring to use for other characters! As Treefox said, the starbust or reflection in her eyes really brings them to life. Wonder what she's pouting about.
