The old King (Winni Go-Back Au)

When Winni vanished from blue mountain Lord Voll was struck with intense grief. After a search party finds a dead troll on one mountain side he assumes the worst. He locks blue mountain down forbidding anyone but the chosen Eight to leave.
With time he grows hard and cold as the stone around him.

Poor Voll. Can't seem to get a break no matter what universe he's in. Very interesting in this. The way you've drawn him in black and white, his eyes seem almost dead, really emphasizing his grief and hardness. His robe not well delineated from the background makes it seem he is a nearly ghostly figure that could wander the catacombs of Blue Mountain barely being detected. Whew! Chilling!

 I don't mean any harm with my comments I just write what I think about the idea. The way we are tossing ideas is just brilliant! You came up with a wonderfull solution. Not for Lord Voll obviously. He looks so sad and lost. Your choice of the coloring makes it more clear. He just vanished in the background, with no hope and deep grief. Love it! |

Awww man, give that old bird some hugs. He looks so haunted and sad. He really always has a sad destiny, even in an alternate reality. Great depiction of Lord Voll. Really, I just want to hug him.

Aww, no matter which story, canon or AU, it seems Voll's existence reverts to a constant state of mourning. Is there someone with an AU out there in which the old bird feels, well... free as a bird? This picture is so sad.
