Wildfire, I am at a loss of words! Wooow!! This is amazing! I'm blown away by the excellent coloring, shading and composition! Everything is perfect for the theme and Two Edge is looking so handsome and somehow very wise. It seems he is pondering about his "game" and the possible outcome. Those dramatic warm colors are perfect for his secret forge. It may sound weird, but I love how you drew his anvil and that some swords are poking in from the side. Just awesome! Thank you for joining again for the calendar! I really appreciate your art and every year it's wondrous to see your progress.

Ooooh, those intense colors! Love how the aggressive lighting can symbolize so much. The forge of war and of weapons. The troubles of his past and his great game. His critical eye. As treefox says. He seems so wise here, like a true elder.

I also just noticed the glowy red lines, they are really cool. How dis you achieve this?

The limited color palette works to an amazing advantage in this! I also think you captured Two Edge's look perfectly, even making him look attractive as well as very charismatic. The viewer is compelled to learn more about him! The tension in his arms as he studies his piece is well done, and his critical eye is exactly as one would expect from a perfectionist ready to put his work to the task. I can imagine he's finalizing his schemes for the races and what it will mean for him and Winnowill. The blades poking into the scene around him emphasizes all of that. Very effectively moody. Excellent work!

Oh, that is impressive! Few colours but a lot of atmosphere. And a surprise; but of course, Two-Edge is a very prolific maker. I also like the little sparks and the thorny frame, that is like a cage around him, that symbolizes his struggles with the outside world.

Ahhh thank you, all for the kind words! <3 It's always a joy to participate, this year I very nearly didn't manage to complete it due to overcommitting on 284729382 things haha. So I'm delighted that I still had the opportunity.

The red glowy lines I made with a program called Flamepainter! It's for painting particle effects (fire, snow, glitter, etc) and I got it just as I was beginning to wrap this painting up, so I played around with it for the background :D

The swords - ahh I'm glad y'all like them, I tried like 3 different versions of them and almost scrapped them haha!

The colors in here are great. The light on Two-Edge looks so warm. His thoughts could be in the Question, is it okay to play the game with those ignorant elves? Or: did that helmet looks fitting in art for the Wolfriders? I can't pin it down and that I love very much.
so beautiful

The texture of the rocks and fire, behind the smooth crisp definition of the helmet, are fantastic. And you nailed his face/expression. (You've come so far since I last popped my head in here! )
