Awww! This is just so awww! Our beloved Baker! I love it! Little Leetah and young Rayek really steal my heart. I love how she's noticing but playing along. All the colors look so friendly and inviting and discovering all the details is so much fun. I'm absolutely smitten with that little mouse! I want to enter that picture and join the baking and mischief. Love your interpretation of the theme!

Aw man, this is so cute! Of course Radek would steal her sweets! I am always so mpressed with how much you manage to fit into your pieces. The glowy lamp, our Baker making bread, the interactions between Leetah and Rayek, the little mouse, the plants… it is amazing!

For me, baby Leetah steals the show. So ridiculously cute! It seems Rayek thinks he is getting one over on the baker, but her calm, friendly expression says it all. I think you did a fantastic job on her, she's absolutely lovely! And now I want to know more about her! You did such an amazing job with the background and the framing of the illo, one cannot help but get lost in the details, seeing something new each time. The mouse is a truly inspired addition, but where there's grain, there will be rodents. Somehow, I think the baker knows its presence and probably allows it to hang around as a sort of animal friend. This is perfectly placed in the calendar after the stark, strong, dark atmosphere of Two Edge at the forge, this calm, serene almost joyful scene that you can't help but smile at. And of course, Rayek had to sneak his way into the scene, right? Such a camera hog. Look forward to seeing more of your art this year, JaRF!

Thanks, everyone!
Baking is making. Heh, of course Rayek is doing it for little Leetah. Leetah wanted sweets and cake, so he's fetching it. (compare w. HY 9) And bread-lady is younger here, of course. And I usually end up adding too much detail. But then e.g. I didn't want the walls of the hut to be just too plain, so I added more and more stuff, even that carpet beater, which was quite a pain. ![]() And then I like to hide a few things here and there. Plus logical addition like the rodents near flour and grain. (And I already assume that much of the detail might vanish in the print. That lamp will hopefully "hit" exactly the hole in the calendar, later, and the spiral coil will be in the flower's planter.) Happy to read that Leetah-baby is well received, I struggled a lot with her. Haven't really drawn babies so far, with all the different proportion and still keeping her recognizable. |

Ahhhh adorable! I love the sneaky pose, Rayek must still be in his young rascal phase
![]() And! Babies/children are so hard to draw, their proportions are so different! You did very well. |

Do you have a "no AI" sign on that bottle on top?
This is such a sweet idea. The bright coloring fit's so perfect in this image. I love he's doing this mischief for little Leetah. It also fit's him! Love you remember the arm. You bring a smile to my face - thank you |

Yes, he is in this rascal-phase of life. Well, if he ever really was (having to mature early; but maybe it also never really left him). I tend to overcrowd pictures often, I should try to have a more focused image one day.
![]() You're right, Yavia, there is some detail to find, such as the no-AI-bottle (or his disabled arm, the image is supposed to be at that time). ![]() It is good to read that the image brought some joy to the world. |

Ahhh I love the composition - the "frame" that is really just a natural part of the picture, and the bright colors that all work together but still make sure that your eyes goes where it is supposed to.

Thank you! It's just a little sad the the colors came out dull and shifted in the printed version. I simply had to include the "AI-poison" as a little easter-egg, as there is so much misuse of computing capacity these days. Respectless skimming of all the real art on the net and then spamming the world with imagery generated by computers, and (often literally) selling this to people as "art".
