Cinderella bonus 1 - Winnowill as the Evil Stepmother

Thanks to Startear's idea, I could not let the chance pass by to draw sweet Winnie in the evil stepmom's legendary outfit. But it really seems that Winnie can literally wear anything! As you can see, it's really just a super quick sketch with some colors slapped on.

So perfect! I never would've thought of it myself, thank you, Startear! Despite the quick sketchiness of it, you did a great job. That wicked expression fits not only the character of the Stepmother but Winnowill herself! You know she's plotting something, just look at her. That's quite some headgear she's wearing. Imagine having to wear that thing, trying to make sure you have clearance before passing through a doorway! I'm working hard on "Wonderous Stories," should have it done this weekend (fingers crossed).

That's a hell of an outfit! But I always thought the evil stepmom was a drama queen in every sense, so an outfit like that was to be expected. Anything else wouldn't work. You did an excellent job capturing the look, although it could have been even more dramatic. Still, as a quick drawing (seriously, why do so many people have amazing sketches and they look so damn good?!), it definitely gets the look across. Whew, just finished coloring all the characters in "Wonderous Stories" this morning and have about a third of the background left and that damn guitar. After that, I'm coloring my failed original calendar illo.

I wanted to capture this feeling of scheming and mistrusting anyone around her. She must make sure no one is getting in the way of her daughter claiming the prince.
And as you can see, I did leave out her blue-ish coat, as she's not wearing it all the time and I wanted this to be simple and quick. Don't worry too much about your sketching skills! I did clean up the sketch before putting the colors in. Otherwise it would have looked more like my Treestump sketch. And it sounds like you're working hard, too! It sounds so so good. I hope you can enjoy it, too! |

Omg, that weird "hat", whatever that is actually called correctly. Though somehow this bat-wing-claw style kind of fits her, at least a little.
She still has the better looks

That reminds me. Every year around Christmas, people make a meme of the evil stepmom, titling it «when you love to dress up, but live in Bergen.» which is a lighthearted jab at Bergen being one of the most rainheavy big cities in our country. And because it kinda looks like a umbrella.
