Newstar as Cinderella as The Bride 4 of 4

Guys, I did it! :faint And before Christmas!
So here is Newstar embodying the happy end for Cinderella. The final hazelnut granted her a (very blue-ish) wedding dress. And she and the prince gallop through the shining snow while the triumphant theme is playing.. it's so kitschy and so wonderful. (I have to mention that I loooove the music of this movie! If anything can evoke a Christmas feeling, it's the music of Cinderella.)
I felt because of the color alone Newstar would be a good match for the wedding dress. And doesn't she sort of feel like a princess of the desert and the woods? This one probably had the most details in it... that dress is pretty elaborate and it took quite long to even sloppily put them all in.. But now she's shining and sparkling like she deserves!  ;D
This year I can finally watch the movie without thinking: you should really finally draw these 4 pictures...
It feels a bit unreal, really.
I want to thank Amberfox for really sparking my motivation to provide more stuff! Your words were truly inspiring.

Wow, a series of pictures 18 years in the making... :lol

Awww, thank you! You inspire me to draw and improve on my skills, too!

I'm glad no one had the opportunity to post before me! I originally saw this at work, but didn't want to say anything until I got home. I have no idea how anyone does it, but details are lost on my phone so I wanted to really see this up close. And I was not disappointed! I agree Newstar again is perfect for this role from the movie (never seen it, but from your description...). I can see why the gown took so long, you really give the feel of it being heavy and brocade, such subtle details in the soft simple color and shade. You were able to bring it to life with a texture! Again, very simple illo in design but very effective in mood and final image. Sometimes saying less conveys more. The horse is very eye catching (and presumably the same as in the one with Ember and the first hazelnut outfit), although I think the knee on the bent leg closest to the viewer is a little too pronounced. Still, very dramatic! Newstar seems so happy, carefree, and so lovely in this. I always liked her, although I thought she was never given much personality. Great jewelry, although presumably they're based on the movie, but a little shading around them would bring them even more to life. This is just gorgeous! I can easily see this as a poster for a movie or a tarot for (whatever, don't really know much about the individual cards). Great work, as always, and thank you do much for sharing! As always, look forward to your next post! Keep being inspired and inspiring others.

I feel very special with all.these kinds words from you. Thank you so much.
This is really best viewed in full size as there are so many freaking details!!
This trick with overlaying a texture was fun and surprisingly satisfying. Probably also because I've been wanting to do that for 18 years.
And as you said so very correctly, I wanted to keep it simple and really let Newstar (and her horse Nikolaus, it is the same horse, btw) take up most of the "page".
Newstar was indeed never a central character, but what we do know from her, she does seem pretty self-confident and seems to have absorbed both lifestyles, Sun Village and Wolfriders. That's pretty neat.
She and her long blond hair are perfect for this riding through the sunlit snow. :)
Thanks again for your super kind words, it really does mean so much to me.

It's nice to see all four of them together now! I think you've picked exactly the right characters for all outfits, and the details you've put into the clothing is jawdropping!
This one is the most classical Cinderella, but I love that she's on her horse. Great to see it featured again. I can imagine finding a good reference for it was hard if you're not used to drawing horses as much as elves. You managed to make it look effortless though, haha!

Now I'm really looking forward to watching the movie as well, I'm saving it for christmas!

So happy you enjoy them together. Thank you so much for the kind words. I'm telling you, there were soooo many details in that dress and the jewelry! It was fun to make it shiny. And I am happy that we can upload pictures with a decent quality here unlike Facebook, but even that's not enough to truly see the details I put in there. :lol
Thanks for noticing!
As I was a bit afraid of having to draw her lovely horse again, with reference material it was much easier and faster than I imagined.
I now look so much forward to watching this movie on Christmas as well. :love

YES!!!

I am so glad you finished this in time for Christmas. Newstar is of course the perfect choice for her final outfit, and I love the blues! I love love how you kept the powdery snow as they ride through the field, But also that Jurášek is with her! Not only because it ties the images together, or how it ends with her riding into her happy ever after… but a huge part of the story in my mind is that Pupelka is a badass horse girl who loves her horse.

And honestly yes, Amberfox is right that this could be a poster, panted with poster paint like vintage art posters  was.

Yeah, I finished it before Christmas! Didn't think I could do it! You guys really motivated me. And yeah, those light blues just scream Newstar, don't they? :)
Of course, I had to put Jurášek in there! (Sounds lovely, btw, it's Nikolaus in German, which of course means the same, but sounds so much less beautiful) I am absolutley convinced that she is a horse girl who absolutely adores Jurášek! I mean he was given to her by her late father... And he's such a cute horse who's with her and supporting her through all her adventures. I mean he does make her go back to the ball when she was unsure, whether she should go. :love
This is really a weird crossover, but I am more than astonished and delighted that people like and that sooo many people love this movie! Thank you for all your kind words.
