Dewshine as Cinderella as The Hunter 2 of 4

The next one is done! 
This one started the whole idea. I just moved to Frankfurt in 2006 and watched this movie alone in my apartment and thought to myself: "Hmmm .. Dewshine would look killer in this outfit..."
And then it got me thinking who would be fitting for the other outfits of Cinderella...
So here is Dewshine as Cinderella as the Hunter. She easily proves she is the best archer and the Prince is impressed and intrigued.
I think Dewshine looks just as good as the hunter as I imagined. Again, this was created using a lot of reference. But I love love love this outfit.
And I looked at pictures of the outfit online while drawing this. Later on when I discovered that the movie is available on German Netflix in it's remastered form, I noticed that her waistcoat isn't actually dark brown but dark green...
Well, it's dark brown in my version now.
Wheeee, it feels so good to finally get this out of my head.
On to the next! Her legendary ball gown.
And I'd like to add that I have never drawn a crossbow before and it was pretty much hell. It's deeply flawed and I forgot to put in the string... But it's there and I didn't run away from it.

Damn, Treefox! You're definitely declaring November your month. That was fast! I wholeheartedly agree Dewshine is a perfect fit for that outfit, although "hunter" would invoke Nightfall for me. Still, don't think Nightfall would've worked as effectively as Dewshine in that outfit. And shhhhh! Never point out your flaws or mistakes! I never would've noticed the lack of crossbow string if you hadn't mentioned it. Can't speak for the original, but just looking at this, the way you managed her outfit, it looks amazing. It looks almost real, as if I touched my screen, I could feel the texture. Again, the background is subtle enough to add to the image without distracting from the focus. You did an excellent job on Dewshine's sunny curls and her pert nose (noses, argh, still struggle with those things). That cloak, I want it, the leggings are interesting in a good way. More, damn it, more! I look forward to seeing the next in this series! Not to worry, I'm working on my six illos i hope to flood December with.

She could fit right into that movie. The background you managed to create so similar that it almost seems like she already is. I just looove the vibes, exactly what I love about winter!

Amberfox, I feel honored,thank you.
 My goal from the beginning was to make the backgrounds more simple, more to establish the mood and setting and try not to get lost in details, which is not easy for me. I'm happy that it worked. But the simpler backgrounds and coloring that I'm using is really contributing to getting these pics out there much faster than my usual speed.  And yes, Dewshine isn't who I think of when I hear "hunter" either. But she basically is a huntress and this outfit just fits too well.  And her nose! Don't get me started. I actually tried to make her nose even smaller as she has a super tiny nose, but gave up as it just wouldn't work...I love those mismatched leggings! They should just sell these, damn it! I made the super rough sketch for the next one and hope I won't take too long for her. A completely different setting. And you got 6 illos coming? Gaaaah, I can't wait! Looking forward to seeing them so much! Afke, wow, thank you! The vibes is one of the main reasons I love this movie so much. And we had a little bit snow this week. So my home actually looks like the movie now. : love |

YES YES YES! I am so here for people recognizing Dewshine for the archer that she is, and she fits the Huntress Outfit PERFECTLY! I Especially her fur coat and those leggings! I want them so bad. I also love how you drew the snow, so soft and powdery, like she really is stepping out of nowhere to wow the Prince.
Man, now I cannot wait to see the movie again. Tradition has us watching it on the morning on 24th, the night we celebrate, and I am so pumped! |

Oh thank you! That's very kind! I really hoped that Dewshine would just look good in this. So happy to hear that I'm not the only one who thinks it suits her.
Yesss, I also want that coat and the leggins!! They are so so awesome! Thanks also for the compliment on the snow. A very satisfying thing to draw. While I drew this is, it actually snowed! So that helped. We're probably going to watch it on December 24th as well. I like the thought that we might be watching this together, while physically apart. It's great to have another connection.

The dark season really seems to be your art-season.
Don't worry about the colour of the coat. I'd need to re-watch it to compare the colours, too. I recognized the fancy oak-leaf trousers at once. These are quite fitting for an elf. ^_^ I think she was shooting down spruce cones among other things, if if recall that correctly. |

Yes, winter time is always the most creative time for me, simply because I'm not working outside all of the time. Cozy evenings in front of the little fireplace with my husband chatting, listening to music and drawing. It's perfect!
Should you watch Cinderella again this year, it will be the remastered version. You can clearly see her waistcoat is green in that... And you are 100% correct. She shoots down a high-up pine cone without batting an eye.
