So long ago that it isn’t funny, I promised Wildfire an art trade, but… I promptly forgot. Therefore this was not done before I randomly remembered. Had fun trying to draw the hand and flames with oil pastels, a medium which is not always friendly with details like that. Hope it was worth the wait!

Oh heeey! This is wonderful! The reds in this are super vibrant, I just love it! The black framing makes it stand out even more. So great! I hope Wildfire will see this! :love

Awww, she looks so happy generating the flames from her hands! That expression is what really draws me in, and the hand looks surprisingly delicate for the task. What medium did you use for this? I’m always trying to find new colors, especially red, since my scanner loves to mangle it. I agree the black really makes this more dramatic. I hope Wildfire enjoys this!

This looks so warm and cozy <3
You've handled the tricky medium so well! I always get smudges where I don't want them.

Thank you so much guys! I had a lot of fun with this one, especially with the hand. The pose I referenced has a lighter, and tge way they held their hand was really delicate, which I wanted to emulate.

@Amberfox, the medium is oil pastels! It can be quite the challenge to use, because it not inly smudges a lot, but the way it layers, it likes laying on thick. But it has a lot of payoff, it is very vibrant and you can get amazing gradients.

I bet they also mix well!
Lovely portrait, it almost seems as if she's meditating on that fire. :)
