My Sea Raider merelf Keyar , mostly known as Silver, not because of "Long John Silver" , although he is a very piraty elf, but because of his silver white hair and his moonlike glowing tail. He is the same guy as on the feed cannon picture with the 3 pointed hat.
Btw all Sea Raiders have bioluminescent stripes (males) or spots (females) on their tails and fins. This swashbuckling cutthroat is more an Antihero than a hero, but we need good villains now and then...heh heh, and For Yeee he is a hero anyway. So it lays in eyes of the beholder, grin!

Gorgeous AND bioluminescent? Sign me up! Though I can't say much for a personality, since Silver is more of an image for me at this point, if he's anything like his looks...I really should create a merelf. Anyway, love that you included the idea of bioluminescence for your merelves, especially since I believe you've stated they are depth dwellers. Heroes are how you want to define them. There are those that would argue the roles in Elfquest among the cannon characters, and I've had some of my own elves called villains when others thought them heroes. I personally am drawn to the elves that have strong personalities, and you're absolutely right - everyone loves a good villain!
