Yay! It is Mermay! Todays prompt is : Eager.
Oh my, Yeee is so Eager with knitting that she pisses of all her sea pals with it. But she uses only knitting yarn out of kelp plants without any plastic in it,because y`know: It doesn`t belong into the sea!

This is hilarious! What gets me so much is the disgruntled expressions on the sea lions (seals?) having to be the models for the latest kelp fashion from Yeee. Polly seems even less enthusiastic. That desperately focused face on Yeee says it all. I'd hate to be near when she gets into that mode; never found kelp to be that comfy, certainly not to wear. I imagine she'd earn the ire of a lot of marine protection groups in California! Go Yeee! Don't let them stop you!

Is this like the itchy sweater from Grandma that you hate but have to wear out of courtesy?
 Love everybody's expressions here... and wondering if kelp is hard to work with.

LOL, maybe, I haven`t worn one of these! It could also be because animals don't like to wear clothes that much, maybe you ask them. "and wondering if kelp is hard to work with. " I wonder too...but I must confess, that I can`t knit. It always seemed half a miracle to me when my mother could conjure up a piece of clothing out of yarn. Thanx a lot! |
