Beyond tries his hand at peacemaking.
by nilla
Sorry for the rough look.
A prequel to a drawing I made for the eq grab-bag has Beyond looking for Uli so they stop fighting with with each other over their month long Recognition denial.
Something got me started on making small comics that tend to focus on facial expressions. So I ended up making a prequel to 'Winter Bonding' with Beyond as focus.
Had to break it up in parts, sorry.
Proper description:
Has the title of ‘Beyond tries his hand at peacemaking’.
Background: Beyond Recognized Uli and both of them immediately denied it, spent a month fighting and arguing with each other.
Beyond caves first, after some intense introspection and heads out to find Uli so they can make some peace with each other. Beyond just has to fight his growing anxiety.

Well, facial expressions are what really clues in the audience on what is going on without words being used. I don't have a problem with that, sometimes I'm stuck for a full panoramic image when a close up does much better anyway. Love the second panel; has that "What the-?" expression which can sometimes be lost when trying to draw it, but you did it perfectly. I sense this may not end well.

The expressions work well! this almost looks like key frames that animators use when making storyboards! it's actually pretty darn interesting!! so Beyond recognized someone? gotta go see that stuff soon!..

Yep, he definitely heard or saw something. Drawing a comic was one of the most challenging and instructional experiences for me. Hopefully it will be the same for you. Nice addition of the visible breath.

Quote I sense this may not end well. It's not going to be a straightforward as Beyond would like. Quote The expressions work well! this almost looks like key frames that animators use when making storyboards! it's actually pretty darn interesting!! so Beyond recognized someone?I'm so happy to hear that! =D That's basically biggest compliment I've ever gotten! Beyond Recognized someone named Uli. I've finally manged to write up a proper description for this, I'll update it. =) Quote Drawing a comic was one of the most challenging and instructional experiences for me. Hopefully it will be the same for you. It's very fun to do! |
