Half-brothers
by Afke
I drew this after the prompt "wolf riding" at Sketch Fest. I picked these RTH characters, because I hadn't drawn them yet. I thought it was kind of a nice wordplay that these are half-brothers, and also, neither of them are quite "whole" anymore.

I've always been fond of these two characters, and when I saw Suddendusk was up for adoption, I was tempted...
This seems like a quick sketch, so why do your quick sketches look better than my detailed, 'I-spent-weeks-on-this-thing!" art?! Nicely done, although I sense a bit of tension here. Are they debating something? Hear something they're not so sure of? |

Those wolves are so cuteeeeee! I'm loving the pun/wordplay as well, that's a nice addition to the picture

I'd love to know the stories about their missing parts, since I don't know these characters... I must admit it's strangely fun to see differently injured people in the same picture! makes the world they live in seem very harsh... also. I love the way you did the background!...

It's elaborate for being a fast sketch! Wonderful. The glances between the brothers and the wolves and the background... Super! One more person here is glad that you explained the wordplay... currently way to dense to have noticed by myself.

Finishing of the sketch happened after Sketch Fest, but yes, I still worked kinda fast on it.
I tracked the history of their injuries on their character pages. Apparently Suddendusk's eye was taken by a panic swing of his own wolf friend's claws. One-leg broke his leg during a hunt and it went gangrene. They are among the older elves of the tribe, and the tribe did live without a magic healer for quite some time. The preserver wrapping of elves in bad health was also done due to the fact they had no healer. |

Interesting! nice to see characters who were injured in normal activities, because often people only design characters that were injured in battles... thank you for searching the information about their injuries! much appreciated!...
