Another really old illo, this one about two years after the Poison on her throne illo. I thought I'd throw this one in to hopefully show progression in my art style with this one character. Quicksilver (I think Steff Corbitt's character) and Shadowlion (John Sebok?) encounter Poison for the first time, and she ensnares them in her web of lies and deceit. Suckers! They take her back to Whisper Vine, where she learns its weaknesses, the inhabitants and the weakest among them, and advantages she can utilize to inflict the most damage. Again, Poison is Blackfawn's character in Whisper Vine Holt now part of Shadow Vale, also run by Blackfawn.

Cool background and the poses are nice! Also I like the fact that you can see the story behind this all in Poison's expression!... you know she is up to no good, but the ones behind her a clueless about her plans... shading on poisons outfit is really nicely done!...

She has that winnowicked look on her face here indeed!
I also like it that you inked the leaves in the foreground with green in stead of black.

Really love the details you put into your backgrounds, the feel of depth is very pleasing to the eye.

Thanks everyone! I must admit, Afke, that I didn't choose green for the leaves in the foreground. This illo is old enough that the pen I used for those leaves, the ink had faded and started to dissipate on the paper.

Well, as Bob Ross would say, "We never make mistakes, only happy accidents."

Haha, the happy accidents! So true. :D
But I also think this composition is pretty clever. Putting Poison so much in the foreground makes us see her facial expression, while the other two don't even get a whiff of her plans. I like that. Like we're in on that secret. The details are gorgeous again!
