YAAARGH! I was BORED without a scanner and wanted to add something! found extremely old lineart of a go-back sword and colored it!... and it felt very good to do some other kind of sparkles than those that are on a moth fabric! Haahaha!... anyway, fast new colors for fast old lineart...

I always wonder how balanced this sort of blade would be, and how "wieldy" it would be. Nothing wrong with sketching or fast coloring. Sometimes, that works better than obsessive detailing. This actually reminds me a lot of the sketches one does for set designs. And would I love the chance to flail this thing around!

Well, here the blade is too massive when compared to the hilt to be a true Go-back sword so this thing wouldn't work that well as a real weapon... but it the swords we see in the comics... I actually believe they would work well, they look like they would work nicely!...

Haha, while I've always liked that design, I don't think it would be very practical in real life. The weight distribution is not efficient at all. I think it would not only be hard to wield, but have major structural weaknesses as well. Still great sword and great sketch!

Absolutely! And then I could be proven wrong. That would be fun.

There are some plain weird swords and daggers in real like... like Kalis or Kris from Philippines, for example (one of the more known strange shaped swords)... it is a working weapon even though it is not straight edged... so I think Go-back weaponry looks more sound than many other fantasy weapons.. hmmh... next time I get to work with metal, I should try to make one and try it out!... anyway, here is a link where you can see a Kris type sword, for those who haven't seen one, Yeah, Wikipedia, I know, but better thank nothing!... https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/ff/Kris_nomenclature.jpg

You are right, of course. There are strange shaped swords. I think I should have tried to put it in better words. The Go-Back sword has different thicknesses along it's blade, that is what I see a potential problem. Curved blades are fine! And still love that Go-Back sword! It's a classic!

Yes, the thickness thing sure is something that I wouldn't recommend at having in you sword! hahah! but then still, works far better than... well.. world of warcraft swords... they sometimes look tile they woulf hurt the wielder more than the enemy! Hahahah!...

Had to comment again! HA! I told you it is most likely based on the real weapon! I just couldn't remember the name! true, the metal thickness is still a bit off... but take a look at this beauty! if possible, I'm getting one for my weapon collection! this is the Salampasu tribe's sword... http://www.ezakwantu.com/Sword%20Ba%20Salampasu%207287%2005.jpg
