OLD mermaid Terra drawing

I just HAD to share this with you! old, OLD art I did for Luna! (and yes, during this time, Terra had blue eyes!) We were kids during this time and Luna liked pink and sort of princess like stuff... so I used pink! one thing that amuses me about this picture is the fact that I never liked it when people drew mermaids tails bending like they had knees, (I always though it made the tail look as if it was suit) but I also drew the tail like that because I couldn't figure out how to draw it twist more naturally! (Yeah! weird thing, that!)... anyway, might re-draw this sometime, just for fun!...

EDIT: oh! forgot to mention, we had no idea there were wavedancers in the EQ universe during this time. but Luna wanted Terra to have a "mermaid-like" form... funny coincidence! but I think she doesn't have this form anymore? maybe? should ask Luna about it...

It sure does! thanks to the fact that I wasn't smart enough as a kid to try different shade of green than what I used in the background!...

It's really great that EQ fans seems to tend to come up with mermaid elves. My first elf was a sea elf = mermaid as well, even  though Wavedancers didn't even exist at that time. I think she looks so cute! And it's not a bad drawing for a kid at all! It looks like a lot of effort. Just look at my old mermaid in the past/present challenge...

Yeah! it was strange that Wavedancers were later introduced in the series! and about Terra's boobs... maybe they have magical shape-shifting powers as well! they either changed into a butt instead of boobs! or they decided that it would be great deal of fun to press against her really hard and float at armpit level at the same time! Hahahah! Yup! I wasn't good at drawing boobs! (And I'm still not!)...

I'm just worried about what's keeping the seashells stuck to her nipppes! And I'll be the one to say, my how your art has really changed! Such a massive improvement on skills and attention to details. That's not to say this is bad, just that it's obvious you enjoy drawing and have kept up with it. The shell and fish are drawn wonderully, and few are willing to go that extra mile to put scales on the tails of mer-folk. I love that you have the tail curled at the end, gives the overall image more depth.

I honestly don't know! seen many pictures like that and I've always wondered how they stay without falling off....  And Yup, I've drawn for most of my life... hahah! this is actually quite awful when I look at it now, but I still remember struggling how to get things right...l always loved drawing animals and such, that's why in my old art animals actually look a lot better than humans! (as well as nowadays, monsters look better than humanoid characters... I love horror)...
