Haha, that is a feeling I've felt before. Egging people on, only to discover that it is higher than what is comfortable. And then evilly pushing the other off the edge. Art vise, I really like how you've drawn Hawk's hair, the way it shines, the gulp, and the grin on Hawk's face.

Great interplay here, for a page that's dialogue-heavy.  Fantastic job with the changing expressions, and allowing small moments to come through (like that "gulp"). You strike a really great balance between "expressive" and "cartoony", allowing it to be the latter when it pays off the most, like in the last panel -- and again, great choice to allow popping out of the frame to add to the energy of the scene.

My only criticism here is that the words are difficult to read on the page at the resolution at which the entire page can be seen.  You have to click through to the highest resolution to be able to read it comfortably… but at that size, we're really only seeing part of the page.

I sympathize with this challenge.  It's really hard, when working digitally, to decide "what is the optimal size for people viewing each page" and "what size font can I use so that it's comfortable to read, but not so big that I can't fit what I need to on the page".  In most of these panels, it kind of looks like you could afford to use a larger font and still fit within the bubbles.  But I can see that it could cause issues in the first, dialogue-heavy panel.  Again -- sympathies!  I've run into that problem myself.

That font-size problem was indeed my biggest issue on this page for the reasons you´ve mentioned. It IS dialogue heavy and I didn´t wanna plaster huge speech bubbles all over the drawings. I´m kind of glad I ran into this problem at this early point so I learned for the later pages to keep the dialogues short for each panel and go with a bigger font-size. ^^

Since I´m not quite used to sequences, finding a good balance of cartoony style to my usual expressions wasn´t quite easy at the beginning, but I found myself into it rather quickly (thankfully). I took a 30 expressions challenge for Foxtrail some time ago (never finished it) which helped a lot there. Also dug through lots of comics and manga again for inspiration.
