Re-painted Warp Bookends !

I just had to share the new powder coating job done on one of my bookend sets that I purchased decades ago.  They came in dark green and maroon; if anybody remembers ?

My club mates from SweetWater (3)  just happen to work at a powder-coating plant.  I asked for one of three colors - Baby blue, red or yellow.  It was a crap shoot as to which color would be available on the line the day they went through.

Special Thanx to Corbin L./ Knothead  for using stripper to release the old, spongy paint (the coating was rough to remove and a sand blaster would have bent pieces on the laser cut that were to thin).   I am told the painters hung them from the eyes to Coat.   I sure cannot tell.  They look fantastic !  Works well for my desk area.

Oh, these look nice! And your anthologies are in a way better state than mine. I bought mine used, though and the contents matters more anyway. ;)
That madcoil is pretty awesome, too!

@ TREEFOX   Thanks !  I am really happy with them since my desk shares ElfQuest and Mickey Mouse; I wanted colors from both.  The Madcoil was a gift from a former Club mate.  It came painted (by C.Davis/Patch).

These are my never read smaller versions.  Never read and still the covers are coming off.  If I still worked in a Library I would re-do the cover glue.  Now the big copies and duplicates - well - those look really, really used and are raged bent and I have cut out whole stories (once with the dream of illustrating all the Tanner anthologies from the BoTC's) and marked pages with colored markers and underlined character descriptions in pen.

PS   -   I am still looking for the #1 hardbound and sleeved version of the Graphic Novels.  These (on top shelf) were found only in Virginia.  In fact over half of my collection of ElfQuest was only found when I visited my Blood-father on the other Coast.  It was almost impossible to find  EQ stuff on my home ground of Washington State.

Ah shoot, it's annoying if one basic item of one's collection is missing... Well, I can understand only too well how hard it can be to find EQ stuff. I'll never forget the glorious day I finally discovered THE comic shop in my home town that carried vast EQ material! Happy, happy, joy, joy.

These look much better now! (I do remember the earlier paint job) They work very nicely here!... and Yeah, it's almost impossible to get EQ stuff here in europe... all shipping online seems to only be inside america, so my luck is rotten with that... BUT I've managed to find some at least! and I really want Madcoil like that!...
