Coneheads really have weird anatomy, don't they? Even in 2D they look odd and alien. I'm glad you included the star-eyes.

Now this is also something quite different! Wonderful version of the coneheads. While alien, the face is still rather beautiful and friendly. The star-eyes truly makes this an Elfquest conehead and not some random alien. What program do you use to make these 3D models?

Haha, yeah I nearly left the stars out because I didn't want to texture it, but I painted them on in Photoshop afterwards. They add a lot of character!

I use zBrush for these models, it's great for sculpting really high-poly models. It's also great for texturing, you can paint directly onto the model, I just didn't do it because I was lazy and it was just a quick sculpt.
There's no trial version available sadly... But it does have a sister-program called Sculptris (it's free!) if anyone wants to try their hand at sculpting 3D ^_^

Oh yes, sorry, I think you mentioned the program you use before. I am really tempted to try it once... If only I had the time. But I will keep your tip in mind, thank you very much for that!
Still think this looks great!
Where did you get the idea to sculpt a conehead? We really don't see much fanart of them.

Thanks ^_^

Sculptris is much simpler so it's great for easing into sculpting. It doesn't have all that many features and if you want to sculpt more advanced stuff then I'd suggest zBrush or Mudbox. For a conehead like this, Sculptris would be fine.

Uh.. I think I was just in an Elfquest mood but I wanted to sculpt something relatively simple. And coneheads are way underappreciated :P I'm doing Firstborn of the Neverending now!
(If anyone has requests (for creatures, not elves) send me a message or something!)
