Interesting and quite dramatic! I think this could be interpreted in several ways. Is Venka grieving because she failed to protect her mother or did she actually kill Kahvi in her dream?
The emotions are also great!

Aww, poor Venka. It's an interesting take to a character who's usually incredibly composed and rarely displays emotion like this. The thought of a grief stricken Venka is oddly endearing.

I liked this idea however for me I thought it would have been even better if it were reversed and Kahvi was the one mourning Venka with that much emotion.

I always got the impression that Kahvi didn’t keep as much of an eye on Venka as she probably should have because of Venka’s magic abilities forgetting that a sword or arrow doesn’t discriminate against magic.

Still all in all it’s a good solid concept. :)
