So, this is a story that it took me most of the year to accomplish (although if I count up the actual amount of time spent on it, it's probably 5-6 weeks). Melanie, who owns Newt (the little boy featured here), won this as a prize for completing comments for all of the art on the River Twine Holt site (which is something over 1600 pieces). We thought such an accomplishment warranted a suitably elaborate prize.
She and I came up with the story she wanted to see told, then I scripted it and did the art for it.
Chieftess Easysinger was the tribe's former chief (mother of the current one), and Newt was born in her time. As you will see later... Newt had to be put into wrapstuff because he was fatally wounded by a snakebite, and the tribe didn't have a healer. He was in wrapstuff for 400+ years. When he came out, Easysinger was gone, and the tribe had vastly changed around him.
(Note: I got admin permission to post 6 pages at once; this is an exception, as this 6-page story wasn't really meant to be broken up.)

So glad to see this story here now. What a wonderful gift! I think you should do more comic pages! You are one of these persons just so good at portraying emotions, moods through choice of colors and keeping a character very consistent in their looks.
