Well, you're staying true to his character, and as hunt leader he does have the right to choose. Can't say it enough; love the colors and your style. Windsong seems just a little too far back on her wolf, but maybe it's just the angle.

Hee! Yes, very true to character, here.
 He's not JUST trying to be a party-pooper, though. He wants to see her get more practice in hunting quarry less dangerous to the hunter than bull elk during the mating season, is all... A "normal" hunt, he might have allowed her on.
