Hehehe. It 's eyes kinda make me think of a slightly confused/worried version of the ಠ_ಠ-emote.

He certainly does have an interesting expression. What kind of wolf is it?

@Nilla; XD
@Destiny; It's not in the sun, but mostly in the shadows. I lightened the photo a lot in Photoshop. ![]() @Jeb; According to their site a European wolf. |

It's really nicely shot. It doesn't give the impression of being in captivity. Such a pretty wolf and the expression is priceless.

The enclosure is really well done from what I can see. Some zoos don't make much of an effort to keep the animals comfortable and happy. Anyway, yes, the wolf does appear startled or confused, but that could be because the sun; those pupils seem awfully contracted, giving the wolf that expression. It's a lovely photo and I thank you for posting it. I thank you also for allowing us to use it for drawing; it's a wonderfully relaxed pose.

Zoos here are more and more making an effort to do that, but I believe some laws about it have been changed as well the past couple of years making it a requirement that the animals need more room.
And I don't like taking photos with human elements like fences in it, I like to pretend I'm in the wild. ![]() I'll post more later, but I want to wait 'till more drawings have been posted so the featured page doesn't get flooded with photos. |
