Two Fawns and a Cub - WIP

EDIT: Uploaded a new version with the newest WIP at the bottom. It's starting to turn into something, yes? The one on the top-right is the second to last WIP where she was still wearing short 'boots'. Barefooted, short-booted and booted all look quite good to me, so I'm thinking she'll switch between the three versions however I feel like. (probably depending on season/weather and whatever she's doing atm.)

--------

I felt like painting today and this is what came of it so far. It's not my usual way to draw/colour, but I like the effect nonetheless.

Illustrated are Fawn (my elf-self) and her first bondwolf Winterwhisp. (Yes, she only bonds for the first time as a young adult...) The (actual) fawn in the image is a young red deer that Fawn befriended recently; she's called Twitchtail and isn't yet used to the rambunctious wolf cub.

Very lovely, I like to see some more animals in our pictures here. You've got them down so well too!

So nice! Lovely how the wolf struggles in her arm and that deer just looks  :o
Looking forward to the next step!

The two things that really stand out for me on this wonderful WIP are the great muscle tone you've already added and Twitchtail. Twitchtail not only has a perfect name but the outline sketch you've done is simply gorgeous. I can't wait to see this one finished; you have a wonderful sense of color and shading. The only thing for me is...where is the other front leg on Winterwisp? I can't quite see it. I do love that it is being squirmy and rambunctious, like all little cubs are.

Thank you all for the lovely comments!

@DestinysGift: I'm particularly happy with how her legs turned out as well (hence why they're one of the few things nearly finished in this pic)
@Amberfox: I'm really happy you like Twitchtail's name - it took me a while to come up with it and I'm very happy with it ;) Winterwhisp's right forleg is tucked against his chest - it's just visible between his torso and Fawn's arm.

I didn't even see this! Is it still a WIP or are you surrendering? The shading and coloring is still amazing and you've really brought all three to life. Still can't quite make out the front leg on Winterwisp, but that's okay. Squirmy cubs can do that. Wonderful job!

@Amberfox: This is still a WIP. Knowing me it'll take a while to be completed, but I do intend to finish it still. Thank you!
