Newstar

Had a lot of fun with this one. Did a sunfolk backdrop to help the figure to stand out a little better.

Again, my goodness, what a classic pin-up pose! That is lovely, and the setting here is simple but very well done. I also just have to say that your b&w linework is fantastic! I would love to hear you discuss your technique. I'm *guessing* that you aren't inking with a brush, but rather building those thick/thin lines in another way. However you do it, I really love it!

Yummy! She almost seems to melt into the sheets! My lifemite really liked this one! He said, wow, is that the Khaleesi (from Game of Thrones)? I think that means that she's really sexy!

I always thought Newstar was one of the loveliest ladies in EQ and you've done a great job on drawing her; she always seemed somehow sexy but sweet, which is why she's perfect for the classic pinup. I also think the setting is really effective for this, but I hope that pit is not for sleeping; it seems awfully small for that. Maybe it's for relaxing; we don't know all the interior designs for Sun Villagers, right? Hey, maybe it's for her wolf or jackwolf friend? Just a thought. The only issue I can see with her is if that line on her upper chest is supposed to be her right breast; that would make it too small and out of proportion to the left.

All my contract and illustration work is done with winsor inks, inkwell nibs and brushes. These quickies and my con sketches are done with copic multiliner and the copic sketches. I use to use pitt's but I'm really happy with the copics. Maybe I'll do a topic in the forum area on my techniques.
